De priester is akkoord!!

Nadat we vanmorgen veilig geland zijn op Schiphol en onze koffers al snel op de bagageband gevonden hebben, nemen we de shuttlebus naar het Van der Valk hotel. We bergen onze koffers op in de kofferruimte, en rijden op ons gemak naar huis. Daar zijn in ieder geval twee poezen blij dat we weer thuis zijn. De koffers zijn al snel uitgepakt, en voor de rest is het aan de wasmachine hoe snel alles netjes gewassen weer de kast in kan.

Na de huishoudelijke klussen checken we onze mailbox. En al gauw komen we een mailtje van Peter tegen.

Nadat we woensdag uit Mukosi vertrokken zijn, heeft Peter de priester nog gesproken. En Peter heeft wel heel goed nieuws te melden. De priester is akkoord, en er mag een school gebouwd worden op het maisveld dat naast de kerk ligt. Het is jammer dat we de goeie man niet zelf gesproken hebben, maar er is in ieder geval groen licht. We gaan ons nu concentreren op de volgorde van stappen die we moeten ondernemen om de bouw te realiseren. Het zal nog wat tijd in beslag nemen, voordat het zover is. Maar we hebben vooruitzicht! We houden jullie op de hoogte!!

This is Habimana Peter. We have approached the Parish Priest about the issue of the land. He said that he cannot refuse people bringing development to his Parish. He e3ven told us that we delayed , that we should have informed him before your departure.

I am therefore informing you that the other land could be used for the classrooms construction.

We are waiting for your decision so that we can start off.

Dear Peter,
We have safely arrived at home. It's cold and it snowed. It is winter in Netherlands.
We are very pleased and surprised that the cornfield may be used for the construction of the school. We are sorry that we haven't speak the Parish Priest before we left Uganda. Before we start built the school a number of issues will have to be settled. I will sent this mail also to Big Sam and Edwin.
We are going to register us and start a foundation. The same will also be doing the community of Mukosi. There will be also signed a contract with the church for the use of the land. There is still a long way to go before we can start the construction of the school. We will do everything step by step.First, we will seek information about what steps we should take, before everything is regitered corretly. Next week we will contact Carolina. Along with Sam, she has experience with building a school.
